CORE FUNCTIONALITY

Improved Help Functionality: Add custom fields and templates via a rich text editor. This is especially helpful for any user-defined fields you've added.

Make better decisions: New functionality allows you to run analytics and create Quick Charts for any table in the system.

SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS

Allow students and parents to report bullying incidents: The new bullying workflow allows parents or students to report bullying incidents from the Family and Student portals. Users can submit anonymous reports, and an investigation checklist workflow supports and follows the investigation through to resolution.

Demote/Promote a student mid-year: The Aspen 4.0 release allows students to be demoted or promoted mid-year while retaining appropriate grade levels.

Customize your Pages layout: New layout options for Pages include drag-and-drop widgets for easier addition and deletion of widgets.

Create Student Groups: Non-academic student groups, like clubs or sports, can now have a Page listing group events. You can even separate class sections into different pages. The possibilities for student engagement and collaboration are endless.

TEACHERS

Easier ways for teachers to communicate assignments: Teachers can now add public and private comments on individual assignment scores and better manage their own notes on assignments, while providing students with valuable feedback to impact student learning. New emailing functionality allows you to easily send emails with attachments to students and/or parents, as well as see parent names and the student(s) associated with each parent contact.

Extend assignment options: Assignment descriptions now use a rich text editor, allowing formatting and hyperlinks to be added with each assignment. You can also add an attachment for students to download.

NURSES

Automate student health care: Health view users can auto-populate visit type, complaint, treatment and action for scheduled medical visits.Aspen 4.0 now allows users to inventory and dispense non-prescription (PRN) medication.
