Logging in to Destiny
To begin using Destiny, use your web browser to navigate to your URL.

Click the Login button in the upper right corner.
Log in using username DestinyAdmin and the password that was emailed to you. Destiny should prompt you to change your default Destiny administrator password upon initial login
After logging in, you'll see options for Setup and Help in the upper right corner.
Destiny includes Help topics, and definitions, to guide and support you when setting up and maintaining Destiny. Throughout Destiny, you will observe help icons on the page (How do I ... or ), which will open Destiny Help to a section related to the on-page content. You may also access the Destiny Help system at any time by click the Help link in the upper right corner of the page.
Setting up Destiny
Destiny is designed to accommodate multiple sites in one installation. As such, there is an extra hierarchal level in the system above the site level. While the system refers to this as the “district” level, single site installations should consider this a system administrative level.
At this level, the Sites tab contains the functions you’ll need to configure, add, import, group, edit, and delete your site.
Configuring your district or “administrative” level
To edit the administrative information, click the Edit icon adjacent to your site name.
On the Edit District page that appears, enter or verify the following:
• Verify your institution name, MARC Organization Code (if you are unsure of your MOC, you can use your site’s initials), and customer number. These three fields are the only required fields on the page.
• Enter a District State ID if your state provides one.
• Select the online services that you would like active, most commonly Aliance Plus Online or Award Winners (included with your support agreement).
• All other Follett Software Services—Reading Program Service for Accelerated Reader or Reading Counts!, One Search, Standards, TitlePeek and WebPath Express will be added at a later step in the process..
• Set the beginning month for your institution’s statistical year.
• Set the beginning month for your institution’s fiscal year.
• If your institution is willing to share abstract data with Follett Software, select the Share general circulation data… check box.
• To add a logo to the upper left corner of every page, browse to and select the image file.
• If you would like to add an image to your district's Welcome page (below the list of sites), browse to, and select the image file. Click Save when you are done.
Setting up your site
Defining your Site Type
During installation, Elementary, Middle, and High Schools site types are created by default. You can edit, delete or add your own type. You may want to delete unused Site Types, but that is not required. Note: In later examples, you will notice that we have deleted unused types and added a new one.
1. To add a Destiny site: From the sites tab on the Update District Sites page, click the Add Site icon adjacent to your site name.
2. On the Add Site page that appears, enter the Site Name and Short Name (10 characters maximum). Enter a School ID if your state or province provides one.
3. Choose the appropriate products and Site Type.
4. Enter the Site Customer Number.
5. Select the online services for which the site has a subscription. See your Destiny Agreement if you are unsure which services were included with your purchase. Subscriptions may include one or more of the following: Reading Program Service for Accelerate Reader or Reading Counts! Reading Program Service (RPS) for Lexinle, One Search, Standards, TitlePeek and WebPath Express.
6. Click Save when you are done.
After adding a site, a message appears, providing the site administrator’s User Name and Password. Keep this password in a secure location.
Importing your bibliographic data
Bibliographic data can be imported into Destiny from these types of data sources, if you have data from one of the following sources, you may follow the instruction to import that data in to Destiny. If you do not have a compatible data file, you may contact your Follett Sales representative to inquire about a data conversion, or catalog your materials directly into Destiny.
- Legacy Follett library automation system (Circulation/Catalog Plus, Spectrum, Infocentre, Athena)
- A compatible data file in the MARC21/852 holdings format. This may be supplied by Follett Data Services, Titlewave, or your book vendor.
- Directly from Titlewave
